About Invariant Software

Invariant Software is a software consultancy registered in Nigeria, founded on a simple conviction: software should be correct by construction, not correct by coincidence.

Why "Invariant"

In computer science, an invariant is a property guaranteed to remain true throughout a program's execution — a contract the system promises never to break. Good software is, at heart, a set of well-chosen invariants enforced relentlessly. That is the work, and it is the name.

Why OCaml

We build in OCaml because its type system lets us make illegal states unrepresentable. Algebraic data types, immutability by default, exhaustive pattern matching, and a rigorous module system mean the compiler enforces our invariants for free — no runtime guesswork, no defensive sprawl.

What we offer

We help individuals and organisations with all things software — design, implementation, and the unglamorous reliability work that keeps systems running. See our services →

The work in the open

We are a free-software shop. We use, build on, and contribute to open-source tools, and we write about how we work. Our first product is Chaufr, a trust-centred chauffeur marketplace built entirely in OCaml.

Talent can come from anywhere. We intend to prove it.
